Partial Biographical Note

Marscha Winterfield was born in Denver, Colorado.

She took up photography in 1985, after retiring from the work force.

Her exhibits include space in Franklin Hospital (San Francisco), the Denver Art Museum, and the Colorado Historical Society.

Scope and Content

This small collection contains three monochrome photographs that Winterfield took of Five Points business owners. They include Jeff Fard, in front of his cultural center, Charlene Jordan, at her House of Beauty, and Al Richardson, in the doorway of Maria’s – a record shop. All of the 16” x 20” photographs are matted.
