Scope and Content

Contained in this collection are ½-hour videocassettes (VHS ½”) of a television show called “The CAM Hour” (2 copies of each tape). The show is a public access cable program that deals with issues that pertain to blacks in the Denver area. The episodes aired between 1987 and 1999. Many contain performances of gospel music, including two years of the Juneteenth Gospel Music Fest and two years of the Colorado Gospel Academy and Hall of Fame. There are dance performances and interviews with famous local African Americans. Also, there exists footage of conferences and awards ceremonies, as well as a few dramatizations.
